Job Description:
Bermuda Executive Services Limited is currently recruiting for applicants interested in TEMPORARY Legal Secretarial opportunities who possess the following skills & experience:
- Assisting attorneys that specialize in Insurance, Reinsurance, Insolvency, Civil and Commercial litigation with drafting legal documents, case summaries, correspondence and court documents
- Drafting court documents including but not limited to pleadings, winding up petitions, divorce applications, affidavits, orders, bills of costs, DVO applications, accounts summaries and legal notices for advertisement in newspapers
- Conducting searches at Registrar of Companies and Supreme Court and filing documents at Supreme Court Registry
- Conducting legal research (and drafting summaries of same) on areas of specialties of current attorneys
- Preparation of court bundles for trial tabbed and exhibited
- Large scale document management of client documents including indexing reviewing and analyzing documents
- Calendaring and organizing meetings both internal and external for attorneys and clients
- Document management including organizing filing system to meet the unique needs of the law practiced by attorneys.
- Receive and transcribe legal dictation
- Transcribe court trial notes
