Life in Bermuda

In Bermuda, football and cricket are the national sports, and for two days in summer, Bermuda takes a holiday for the annual Cup Match cricket classic. But Bermudians also compete vigorously in sailing, swimming, tennis, hockey, rugby, volleyball, triathlon, road running, squash, body building, equine sports and almost every other sport you can name.

Golfers in particular love Bermuda – there are as many as eight courses on the island, ranging from the world famous Mid Ocean Club to the Turtle Hill Golf Club at the Fairmont Southampton, widely considered to be the toughest par 3 course in the world.

Bermuda also has several members-only gyms. Some specialise in Crossfit while others are more traditional with Yoga, Pilates and more recently barre.
